Plural Noun:

  1. people skilled with or knowledgeable about digital technologies, especially computers and the Internet.

Word Origin:

First documented use, 1992:  a blend of (dig)ital and lit(erati).

Usage:

No one who knows Ernie will ever accuse him of being a member of the digerati.
